See All ReviewsIf you’re looking for a place that truly captures the heart and flavor of South Louisiana, this restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed with genuine Southern hospitality—the kind that makes you feel like family. The owners are right there, making sure every guest has a memorable experience, and it shows in every detail. The buffet is nothing short of incredible. It’s packed with delicious home-style cooking and an impressive variety of options, especially for seafood lovers. The boiled crawfish are a standout—seasoned to perfection with just the right amount of spice. You get all the flavor without it being overpowering, making it easy to go back for seconds (or thirds!). The atmosphere is just as amazing as the food. Sitting along the water, you can relax and watch boats drift by on the Chinquapin Canal while you enjoy your meal. Whether you drive up or pull in by boat, the setting is peaceful and uniquely Louisiana. The large outdoor patio is perfect for soaking it all in, especially on evenings when they have live music or karaoke—it adds such a fun, lively vibe. This place is also ideal for gatherings. The spacious banquet area makes it perfect for private events, celebrations, or even just a big get-together with friends and family. Great food, beautiful views, fun entertainment, and warm, welcoming service—this restaurant truly has it all. If you haven’t been yet, you are absolutely missing out. This is one spot you must try!
$32 for a seafood buffet is okay if the food is okay. Fried softshell crab so salty you can’t take more than one bite. Everything we had off of the buffet was either COLD or overcooked. If you are making a drive please don’t waste your time. I would love to give them a good review. Server was kind of nice. Kind of.
I came here as part of a large group while we were visiting for Mardi Gras. The first night was so impressive, the owner and chef came out to meet us, and the food was unbelievable. We actually ate there every night we were there, 3 nights in a row, because it was so reliable and we made a great connection with the crew. Drinks, food, environment, and service were top notch. I highly recommend this place. Such a small-town feel in a competitive area. It’s definitely worth the travel to experience this place! Plus, it’s right on the river!! I’ll definitely be back next year!
